you are a light smoker, Step 2 is the product you start with†. If you
are a heavy smoker, you will start with Step 2 after completing Step 1.

For those who smoke 10 or less cigarettes a day, Nicoderm Clear, Step 2
Patches should be used during weeks 7 and 8 of a 10-week smoking
cessation program. For those who smoke fewer than 10 cigarettes a day,
weigh less than 100 pounds, or have suffered from heart disease,
Nicoderm Clear, Step 2 Patches should be used during weeks 1 through 6
of a 8-week smoking cessation program.
