Allegra-D contains the same antihistamine as Allegra, plus a decongestant and provides fast, effective multi-symptom relief of indoor and outdoor allergies for up to 12 hours. Allegra-D provides relief of symptoms including sneezing, runny nose, itchy, watery, red eyes, itchy nose/palate/throat and hives.
Medicinal Ingredients:
60 mg fexofenadine HCl and 120 mg pseudoephedrine HCl.
Non-MedicinalIingredients:
Carnauba wax, corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, silicon dioxide and stearic acid.
Do not use ALLEGRA-D if you have: an allergy to fexofenadine hydrochloride, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride or any other ingredients in ALLEGRA‑D; high blood pressure, heart problems, glaucoma, an enlargement prostate gland, taken a Monoamine Oxidase inhibitor (MAOI within the past 2 weeks), are sensitive to adrenergic agents such as ephedrine; symptoms includes sleeplessness, dizziness, weakness, tremor, or irregular heartbeat
you have difficulty in swallowing. To help avoid side effects and ensure proper use, talk to your healthcare professional before you take ALLEGRA‑D.
The following may interact with ALLEGRA‑D: Antacids that contain aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide (e.g. Maalox). Do not take ALLEGRA‑D within 2 hours of taking an antacid that contains aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide (e.g. Maalox), as these antacids may alter the effectiveness of ALLEGRA‑D. Do not take ALLEGRA‑D with MAO inhibitors (MAOI) or if you have taken MAOI’s in the last 14 days. Medicines to treat high blood pressure. Do not use ALLEGRA‑D caplets with other antihistamines and decongestants.
Adults and children 12 years of age and over: 1 caplet every 12 hours.
